Special Ops 2 review: Neeraj Pandey and Kay Kay Menon deliver a thrilling sequel after five years

I just finished binge-watching all seven episodes of Special Ops 2, each around 50–57 minutes, and I can confidently say this sequel is excellent. While most follow-ups fall flat, five years after the first season in 2020, Neeraj Pandey and Shivam Nair have delivered a sequel that exceeds expectations.
This time, the story takes a global approach with RAW officer Himmat Singh (Kay Kay Menon) working smartly even for CIA needs. Despite political tensions and intense action, the show sprinkles humour and wit, reminding us that even Jason Bourne smiles sometimes. Menon’s character maintains his signature tight smile while setting up backchannels with Beijing and Washington, ensuring his team returns home safely. This season proves that spy thrillers can be both intense and entertaining.
